At 13:07 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be brought to Immediate Readiness following a call from a 10m Diver Boat which had reported breaking down off Nare Head, Gerrans Bay.

The All Weather Lifeboat remained alongside its pontoon with the engines running while it awaited an update from the Coastguard. The Dive Boat was at anchor and all its divers were on board the vessel so there was no immediate risk. A rigid inflatable proceeded from Mylor Harbour to assist the vessel. At 13:53 the skipper of the Dive Boat confirmed that it was under tow and that they were happy with the progress so it was agreed that the Lifeboat could be stood down.

The All Weather Lifeboats engines were shut down and it was made ready for service by 13:55.
