At 18:30 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be launched to support the Fowey Lifeboat which was responding to a report of two paddle boarders in difficulties off Chapel Point in St Austell Bay. The Mevagissey Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked to assist.

The All Weather Lifeboat left its pontoon berth at 18:40 and having rounded Zone Point headed up to the east. At 19:09 when the lifeboat was 3 miles South West of Dodman Point it was confirmed that the two paddle boarders had made it ashore safely, so the lifeboat was released to return to its station.

The All Weather Lifeboat was back alongside its pontoon berth by 19:42 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 20:00.
