Search for missing person

Inshore lifeboat: (Launched 00:46 / Returned 03:20) – Tom Telford (Helmsman), Nick Head, Elliot Holman, Joe Amps
At 00:38 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched to assist in the search for a missing person from the Mawnan Smith area. The Falmouth & Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Teams, West Cornwall Search & Rescue Team and a wide range of Police Units including search dogs and the police helicopter were also tasked.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 00:46 and arrived on scene at 01:00 to start its shoreline search from Bream Cove to Durgan. On arrival at Durgan the search was extended to Port Navas Creek and then back again to Bream Cove. With the area thoroughly searched at 03:00 the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to its station.
The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered onto its slipway at 03:20 where the lifeboat was refuelled and made ready for service by 03:30.
Soon after returning to its station the crew of the Inshore Lifeboat were advised that the casualty had thankfully been located safe and well ashore.
