At 11:22 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following reports of a yacht adrift off Restronguet Weir. There had been a collision between two boats with one person in the water near the Narrows in the Carrick Roads.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from its slipway at 11:34 and headed up the Carrick Roads arriving on scene off Restronguet Weir at 11:42. It was soon confirmed that the yacht with nobody on board had been located by a passing Rigid Inflatable and placed on a nearby mooring. With no further action required at 11:48 the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to its station.
The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered on to its slipway at 12:04 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 12:20.
