The Inshore Lifeboat launched from its slipway at 21:20 and headed up the inner harbour and into the Penryn River, arriving on scene off Penryn Quay at 21:32. A lifeboat crew member trained in casualty care went on board the yacht to assess the casualty before they were transferred to the Inshore Lifeboat. They were taken to the pontoons at Penryn Quay where the casualty was handed into the care of the paramedics at 22:10, the Inshore Lifeboat being released to return to its station.

The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered on to its slipway at 22:28 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 22:45.
