Motorboat broken down

Inshore lifeboat: (Proceeded 11:22 / Returned 12:42) – Jamie Wakefield (Helmsman), Jamie Connolly, Tamara Brookes, Lloyd Barron
At 11:16 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched to assist a 5m motorboat with one adult and two children on board which had reported engine failure off Frenchman’s Creek in the Helford.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from its slipway at 11:22 and having rounded Pendennis Point headed across the bay arriving on scene in the Helford at 11:34. The boats anchor was recovered and then the boat was towed to Helford Village where it was safely placed on its mooring at 12:13, the Inshore Lifeboat being then released to return to its station.
The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered on to its slipway at 12:42 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 13:00.
The motorboat had suffered an engine failure and its occupants had contacted the Coastguard to request assistance.
