Swimmer needing evacuation

Details:

The Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was attending the Castle to Castle Swim when, at 10.50, they were advised of a swimmer who needed medical evacuation. The casualty was on Andennis Beach where they were being treated by lifeguards.

The Inshore Lifeboat collected the casualty from the beach at 10:53 and transported them back to the lifeboat station, where they were treated until the arrival of the ambulance paramedics. The casualty was then taken to Treliske Hospital for further checks.

The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered onto its slipway at 11:15 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 11:30.
