Inshore lifeboat: (Tasked 20:07 / Returned 20:20) – Jamie Wakefield (Helmsman), Tom Bird, Tamara Brookes, Chris Simpson
Details:
Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was returning to station from a previous incident when at 20:07 they became aware of a 3m rigid inflatable with one occupant which had clearly broken down, so they proceeded to assist.
The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 20:09 and took the boat in tow. It was towed into the Inner Harbour and once off the Port Pendennis Marina the boat was released at 20:17 so the occupant could row to its berth, the Inshore Lifeboat once again being released to return to its station.
The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered onto its slipway at 20:20 where the lifeboat was refuelled and made ready for service by 20:40.
The Inshore Lifeboat had in just over an hour assisted three boats and their six occupants. Suitable safety advise was given where applicable.
