At 22:22 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a collision between boats and reports of a person in the water. The Falmouth Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team and the Police were already on scene.

The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 22:31 and headed up the Carrick Roads arriving on scene at Loe Beach at 22:40. The Coastguard on scene confirmed that the person who had been in the water had already been assisted ashore so the Inshore Lifeboat stood by while two other occupants made it ashore in a tender. A check of the local area was made to ensure there were no other casualties. Once this was complete the Inshore Lifeboat crew went on board the motorboat to check its condition and to make sure it was secure. Once this was complete at 23:11 the Inshore Lifeboat was then released to return to its station.

The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered onto its slipway at 23:22 where the lifeboat was refuelled and made ready for service by 23:45.

The motorboat which had three people on board had been in collision with several other moored boats off Loe Beach. Several of the occupants were under the influence of alcohol and one had then ended up in the water following an apparent altercation. Suitable safety advise was given by the Coastguard Team and the Police.
