Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 23:27 to investigate a strobe light which had been reported to be seen coming from a vessel on a visitors mooring in Falmouth Inner Harbour. It was soon confirmed that the strobe was being used as an anchor light on a visiting yacht. The skipper was reminded that a strobe light can often be a sign of distress so he was asked to switch it off.

Further details to follow shortly.
