Inshore lifeboat (Launched 15:52 / Returned 16:05) – Neil Capper (Helmsman), Elliot Holman, Tom Telford
Details:
At 15:45 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth inshore lifeboat be launched following reports of a person clinging to a mooring buoy after they had fallen off their Kayak.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 15:52 and headed out of the harbour but at 15:55 as it was passing Trefusis Point they were advised that the Kayaker had been recovered from the water and that they were released to return to its station.
The inshore lifeboat was recovered onto its slipway at 16:05, being refuelled and ready for service by 16:20.
The casualty had fallen out of their motorised kayak and had grabbed a nearby mooring buoy. A member of the public launched a dinghy and recovered the casualty bringing them back ashore safely.
