Broken down motor boat

At 13:17 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched to assist a 6.5m motor boat with two persons on board which had broken down half a mile south of Gull Rock.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from its slipway at 13:24 and have rounded Zone Point headed up to the East arriving on scene at 13:45. A tow line was passed to the boat and at 13:50 the tow back to Falmouth was commenced. The motor boat was taken to the Falmouth Yacht Haven in the Falmouth Inner harbour where it was safely secured at 14:50, the Inshore Lifeboat being released to return to its station.
The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered on to its slipway at 14:55 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 15:25.
The motor boat had suffered mechanical failure and with no other suitable vessels in the area able to provide a tow the Inshore Lifeboat was launched to assist.
