At 18:06 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched to provide medical assistance to a person on board a yacht anchored in the Falmouth Inner Harbour between Custom House Quay and Port Pendennis Marina. An ambulance was also tasked to meet the Inshore Lifeboat at the lifeboat station.

The Inshore Lifeboat launched from its slipway at 18:25 and arrived on scene at 18:30. A casualty care trained crewmember went on board the yacht to assess the casualty. Both the casualty and their partner were transferred to the Inshore Lifeboat at 18:45 and were then taken back to the lifeboat station pontoon where they were landed at 18:50 into the care of ambulance paramedics.

The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered on to its slipway at 18:55 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 19:05.

The casualty had become unwell on returning to their yacht after being ashore, so their partner had requested assistance. They were taken by ambulance to Treliske Hospital for further treatment.
