Medical evacuation of person from a yacht

At 12:25 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched to assist in the medical evacuation of a casualty from a yacht moored off Loe Beach in the Carrick Roads. The Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team and an Ambulance were also tasked to assist.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from its slipway at 12:34 and headed up the Carrick Roads arriving on scene off Loe Beach at 12:48. The yacht was soon located on a nearby mooring and a lifeboat crew member trained in casualty care was placed on board the yacht to assess the casualty before they were transferred to the Inshore Lifeboat. The casualty was taken to Loe Beach where they were handed into the care of Ambulance Paramedics, the Inshore Lifeboat being released to return to its station at 13:11.
The Inshore Lifeboat was recovered on to its slipway at 13:28 where it was refuelled and made ready for service by 13:55.
The casualty had become unwell while afloat on their yacht which was moored off Loe Beach. The Inshore Lifeboat was tasked to assess the casualty and transfer them ashore where an ambulance was waiting to take them to hospital.
