The Inshore Lifeboat launched from its slipway at 14:00 and headed up the Carrick Roads, arriving on scene at 14:12. Once on scene it was confirmed that one paddle boarder had made it to the shore and was making their way up through a nearby garden. The other two casualties had been picked up by a nearby Rigid Inflatable. The Rigid Inflatable landed the casualties at Loe beach and confirmed that no medical assistance, so the Inshore Lifeboat was released at 14:20 to return to its station.
